1979 - Moved to Los Angeles where he became a regular at THE IMPROV & THE COMEDY STORE 1980 - Part of the first wave of Comedy Club Headliners he performed or the next 15 years throughout the US during the “COMEDY BOOM.” 1985 - Changed his name to Eddy Strange. 1986 - Entered the SF Comedy Competition (as Eddy Strange) and finished 2nd, behind winner Jake Johannsen. (fyi a very young comic genius, Dana Gould, came in 5th). 2013 - Performed on THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN 2000 - changed his name back to Ross Bennett and moved to NYC where he became a fixture at THE COMIC STRIP, COMEDY CELLAR & THE FRIARS CLUB. 1993 - began touring extensively throughout the UK & Ireland Currently - Ross continues to perform at Theaters, Corporate events & Private functions, as well as teaching classes at MCS and coaching Individual Comics Online using THE COMEDY FORGE technique he has developed. 2017 - Began teaching COMEDY WRITING at THE MANHATTAN COMEDY SCHOOL where he emphasizes “creating original material based on a comics personal values, sense of humor & life experience”
